Boeing Educator Enrichment Day Flash Website

I designed this entire flash website - everything from the interface and graphics to the backend action script. I invite you to explore this site.  You can see a picture of my in the "Workshop Instructors" section.

Technical Features:
  • Custom Mouse-over grow/shrink navigation buttons
  • Dynamic loading of graphics and swf files to decrease load times
  • Clear site navigation
  • Cycling pictures with fade transitions
  • Page numbers for listed sub-pages such as Instructor Bios or Workshop descriptions

Menu Features:

  • Navigation buttons resize and position themselves when transitioning from home to a sub-page
  • Buttons grow and shrink gradually without using a motion tween
  • Buttons continue to shrink until correct size even after the cursor is no longer over them (try mousing over many buttons quickly)
  • Buttons grow starting from their current size (even if in the process of shrinking) when moused over

  • Workshop page features repeating scrolling images acting as links to workshop pages
  • Clear site navigation
  • Cycling pictures with fade transitions
  • Page numbers for listed sub-pages such as Instructor Bios or Workshop descriptions

Menu Orb Details:

  • Mouse cursor acts as virtual light source
  • Shadow and reflected light is relative to the position of the mouse cursor
  • Orbs shadow spins in sync with the orb itself
  • Orb spins faster when mouse is over it
  • Quick and slow spin animations start at correct orientations
  • When open, it can be dragged to a new location buy click-dragging the top left or bottom right corner of the menu
